Year Up Thanks Donors for Business Clothing

Year UpYear Up's mission is to provide urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education.  Circle of Hope supports Year Up by providing business clothes for work and interviews.  We received a thank you note after a recent delivery expressing how much our clothing was appreciated:

"One of the (volunteers) said he told one of the students, do you know what you would pay for that suit in the store?  The student was impressed and very appreciative of the suit.  (The young people) all kept saying Thank You."

Because of the program's growth, we expect to increase our deliveries to Year Up.  Thank you for your past donations of gently used business clothing, and please keep it coming!

Nearly 1,000 Coats Delivered this Winter

Although this was not a very cold winter, the need for coats was much greater than in previous years.  So many of you donated coats this year, we thought you would like to know some of the numbers.

Pile of Coats

Last winter, Circle of Hope donated 533 coats to area shelters.  This year, we nearly doubled the deliveries with 974 coats going to shelters like Project Hope, Casa Nueva Vida, and Long Island Shelter in Boston.
